I grew up on a Singer 201K my DM seemed to be able to do everything with it! I was not always very amused Blush at some of her sewing. I still think this machine is brilliant but the motor started sparking and I turned it off pronto!

I was looking around all the bits and bobs and found a handle, however,I would like the motor sorted. Any idea how?

I now have a Singer 3827 but.....Bit flimsy,DDs use it etc.

Get motor sorted or get used to new machine? If you've read this far Thanks

I've got a 201K that has been passed down three generations of my family and I hope to pass it to my eldest daughter in years to come. it's part of my family and I couldn't bare to be parted with it.

Mrs G That's impressive! Have you ever had it mended/serviced or motor problems?
Looking at bits and pieces with my machine I think it dates to 1954/55.
