I do like a good craft blog with tutorials...when I can tear myself away from Pinterest!

Craftster is great, as is Sewing Forum.

Books are probably best. You get some decent book swapping cubs if your local library is not up to scratch.

Another vote for the Attic24 blog. She has brilliant tutorials for crochet. I am in the middle of a Granny Stripe Blanket and can't quite believe how easy and satisfying it is.
