I am so so unadventurous when it comes to doing different shaped cards. All I do are A6,A5 sometimes and square ones.I think I need to try and be a bit more adventurous.Who does any different ones and what ones do you like doing best and how do you do them.Do you fold them yourselves or buy the already made. For example like gatefolded cards or concertina ones?Inspire me please.

Hi Layla, mine are mostly basic A5 too. I made a few A5 concertina cards before xmas and plan to do more, I enjoyed making something a bit different from what I usually do.
I also like tall thin cards but have no suitable envelopes ATM so I have put off making them for a while.
I fold my own now, except for the odd one or two or aperture cards.
Perhaps we could do an online sort of "relaxed" challenge. Something like make a boot shaped card or a ladies gatefold.....can't work to too many deadlines ATM, but it might inspire me to try something new.

Hi Dingle,I'm on here and watching Dawn Bibby who's on at the moment on QVC.I forgot I also do the tall thin ones I like those a lot, they look good with a simple embellishment on the top although my kids always say"but mum you need to put something at the bottom as well".So do you need a really large piece of card to do a concertina one would you?

I do the Dl ones of course, gatefold which I quite like (overlapping emblems look best unless it's for invites, as they can look a bit, well, gate-ish. I've also done castle ones, and I spotted some nice ppyramid ones. Square are my fovourite though, absolutely.

I think a different shaped card challenge (informal) could be fun.
