Acid and ligin free- is there a way I can tell

That's it basically. I've bought some papers and before I use them is there a way to tell if they're acid and ligin free? There's no label on them so I can't tell that way.

You can buy special pens and you do a little patch test on a corner. I'm not sure what they're called. I'm sure someone more helpful might be able to shed a little more light on this for you!
