maybe a crafting one that will have scrppin and card making stuff. as opposed to a scrappin one alone

i like papercraft inspirations. or papercrafts(us) or... well i like quite a few. have a look at some in the shops/ order a couple on line to see if you like one the most before you subscribe to one

cardmaking and papercraft, although have got a subscription for that new partwork- freebies as much as anything.

Quick cards Made Easy isn't bad for a beginner. Just have a flick through in the shop.

Usually though I buy what ever matches my interests- scan the covers in Smiths and check out the freebies for the best offers. They do vary.

I like simply cards and papercraft . I trialled it at first £10 for 4 issues and got a years worth.

I also like the scrapbook magazine they do but waiting for a good subscription offer before I'm tempted.

I haven't bought that big a range in the past but seem to always pick Crafts Beautiful - I like their little book of ideas that always comes with it for inspiration. They do tend to have other stuff in though - ceramic painting, beading - but mostly card / scrapbooking stuff

dh got me 2 magazine subscriptions for xmas

classic stitches
crafts beautiful

also have a french one called marie claire idees (can't understand a word in it but if you're into crafts/embroidery, its fantastic for ideas)

misdee, crafts beautiful have their own web site which is pretty good, you can try before you buy as there are lots of ex editorials featured on it you can download or print out.
