We are having a party for dd who has just been allowed off her strict diet and can now eat normal food.

We are so happy and excited for her that we are giving her a party!!!!

I want to make the invites as i do dabble in a bit of card making and scrapbooking, has anyone done this and what did you use.

Thanks a bunch

Hi Jenks.

Is she going to have a theme? Because that is the starting int for this.

Sam had a party a few years ago he called his 'little green monster party', I let him do the invites for that then scanned them in and 'findished' them on the art package.

The other option would be to go onto e-bay or to your craft shop, and (remembering that bulk = simplicity) buy either a stamp or die-cuts (eg, birthday cakes? ice-cream?) that you both like and that you can add ribbon, pretty appers, glitter glue to finish.

Heres a site that seems to be cheap that I have been using here but ebay is likely to be cheapest for this.

Or how about... a photo of dd eating a hreat big bar of chocolate on the invites? You could use your art package to put party hats etc on.

Congrats, btw, about the diet- . What a great basis for a party!

Jenk...I made the invites for Marslady's daughters birthday party.
Stamped the images onto A4 white card then coloured in using gel pens, watercolour pens and then mat and layered them.
Added "lets party" and inserts were printed on the comp using bright colours to co-ordinate with the clours of the card.
Very easy to make and dont take too long if you stamp the number you need in one go and sit and colour them in at night whilst watching TV etc.
I havent got a piccie of them but this is the stamp I used.
here
Will email you some other options

and the invites were gorgeous! So much so that we kept one spare and have put it in her album. All of her friends loved them too.

I took my Digital camera wotsit to boots and they have a machine there that will print 12 photos at a time on an A4 Sheet. I used two sheets by making my cards out of paper folded in half and then again. Sticking DS Photo on the front and sticking glittery things around his photograph. So 24 small photos of whatever you want and that's it.
