Wool (animal hair) comes out from the inside of the quilt

My MIL gave us two nice colourful quilts. After a few days of using them the animal hair started to come out from the inside of the quilts. My mum says that the quilt should have a special fabric inside but this probably does not. I would throw them away because I do not want to have goat's hair everywhere in our home. Last night we washed it and the quilts are all covered in hairs. Now I probably will have to clean the washing machine too. Well, I am not going to use them but it is up to my husband whether he wants them or not.
On the label it is written: inside is wool, outer layer is made of polyester.

Are they actually quilted? You would have to remove the hair and have them re-stuffed...personally I would love this task as I am a weirdo...but if you don't fancy it, maybe you could donate them to your local quilters circle?

We have washed the quilts twice. What a horror. We will need to clean our washing machine. The hair is everywhere. As I said it is up to my DH to throw them away. I would.
