mummytosteven · 05/01/2006 20:55

Nothing like the mention of OCD to get me looking at a thread . Happy card making!

UCM · 06/01/2006 12:35

Whats OCD?

Dingle · 06/01/2006 12:39

OCD-Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - I think, It where someone can't resist the urge to do something, like an overpowering phobia.

It could be that someone has to constantly wash their hands because of a fear of dirt or germs.

In this case it's like the constant urge to collect crafty goodies...that we really need!

pootlepod · 06/01/2006 14:04

Obsessive crafting disorder, like it

katylou25 · 06/01/2006 14:28

biglips · 06/01/2006 14:33

mummytosteven · 06/01/2006 14:38

biglips - there is a LIDL near Lime Street Station, just a little bit past T.J.Hughes on London Road. Not sure if there are any nearer to you.

biglips · 06/01/2006 14:40

really.. hmmm im in town tmrw so ill nip up there as im going to a craft workshop tmrw in Rennies in bold st

mummytosteven · 06/01/2006 15:00

when I was in the newsagents today I saw part 1 of a new Craft magazine partwork for 99p, that had a little pack of free textured papers with it. Don't remember what it was called though!

biglips · 06/01/2006 15:02

Creative papercraft MTS

biglips · 06/01/2006 15:03

or are you talking about the textured cards?

mummytosteven · 06/01/2006 15:03

it was in the newsagents a couple of doors further up than Rennies in Bold St! Or have you already got it

biglips · 06/01/2006 15:04

mts take a look here

mummytosteven · 06/01/2006 15:11

this is as bad as telling DH anything transport related - he always knows about it already anyway!!

mummytosteven · 06/01/2006 15:12

if you go to the St. John's Centre, the Book Clearance Shop near the food court on the ground floor had a few small tubs of craft paper and card for 99p when I was there last week.

biglips · 06/01/2006 15:44

thanks MTS.. its that small little shop by the loo aint it? (the book clearance shop)

kiwibella · 06/01/2006 17:26

my lidl's is disappointing. I hate going in there.. but I did today (needed the carpark!!) and they had nothing crafty.

biglips · 06/01/2006 17:27

probably all sold out?

MrsFrostgetful · 06/01/2006 18:02

...Hmmmm....have already bought 2 of that new craft mag....so that's 10 cards to make...and 2 magazines...and still i want more!
I bought 6 of the lidl packs of paper!

(and some more ribbon in whsmith...so let me see...i must have approx 30 different rolls of ribbon...and they are all between 2 and 5meters long....and then there's all the 'remanent' pieces i have also hoarded... i really truley think i have more than 100metres...more likely 150!!!

and i still hate using them...still worry i am wasting them....yet still keep buying them....i blame it on the shops selling them at less than £1...i cannot resist the cheap bargains...when they are over £2...i SOMETIMES walk away!

would that creative papercraft 99p mag be a good start at cardmaking - I am teetering on the verge of having a bash at it!!!

WigWamBam · 06/01/2006 18:07

It looks OK for relative beginners but it works on the assumption that you've already got a workbox full of craft knives and bits and pieces - all of the projects use additional bits and pieces that us mere mortals just don't have lying around.

I'm going to give it a go though.

biglips · 06/01/2006 18:21

you know wha MTS - i was gonna say that "how come youre not doing it??, when you know where yo look!!" lol
