Knitted robot?

My Lo fell in love with a hand made knitted robot so am trying to buy him one. Unfortunately I can't find one anywhere. I can't knit myself so unsure if there are any websites where I could track down someone who could knit it for me or do any of you know where hand made knitted toys may be sold?

I looked on e bay but no robots. Thanks.

there are lots of robobt knitting patterns on www.etsy.co.uk Try there, after you've paid a visit to your local knitting shop and asked if they will knit to order - many peopl who run knitting shops will make up a pattern for you. You need ideally a little local wool shop.

Thanks. Actually there is a lovely little wool shop near by so might ask them. Thanks for the idea.

I just got a book from the library the other day and it has a pattern for a robot in it. It's called "Knitted toys- 25 fresh and fabulous designs" and it's by Zoe Mellor

I could sew you one but as there are patterns out there in cyber land maybe your local wool shop will know of a little old lady somewhere local that would knit you one

Have you tried Folksy.com, etsy.com or notonthehighstreet.com? Etsy is brilliant and you could commission a knitted robot.

Dizzy! Shock

"... maybe your local wool shop will know of a little old lady somewhere local that would knit you one..."

Yeah, they might even know a young knitter, or maybe even a middle-aged one. Knitting isn't restricted to a particular age group, after all.
