She has enjoyed tapestry kits in the past, has a lot of patience and has done some quite intricate ones. I would like to get her one for Christmas, not too simple, perhaps on an art nouveau or pre-raphaelite theme, under £30. I don't want to get something that is really basic or poor quality, any suggestions?

What about these William Morris cushion kits?

I really love this Noah's Ark kit - it's the third one down on this page - not really in your remit but gorgeous anyway.

As far as I can see the Tapestry Shop ones are woven tapestries not needlepoint kits!

Have a look here. There are some on offer.

Rigjt - would a cross stitch set be like giving a water colour artist a paint by numbers kit? I have found a very pretty mucha cross stitch set on amazon for £25 and I don't know if she;d enjoy it or not- I don't even know what type of stitching she does on her regular kits! Help...
