Quick Quickutz Question

pootlepod · 30/12/2005 19:07

Try saying that after a glass of sherry!

I have acquired a quickutz die and although I need to buy the adapter and converter for my sizzix I couldn't resist opening it! There is 2 foam squares and two bits of paper- does anyone know what these are for?

Thanks

you can stick these on if you want, meant to help with cutting. esp when there's wear

If you want to cut out funky foam, then don't use the foam pad-otherwise stick on a foam square and this helps the cut shape pop out of the actual metal cutter plate easier. They do wear so you will need to replace it occasionally. You can buy packs of the foam squares.

The little clear, sticky label is (I think) what they call a shim. Never had to use one yet, but as Champs said, it helps to cut more evenly. Some designs you will find tend to not cut all the way through and may need a helping hand. I believe some people even cut the plastic label to position just where you need it rather that cover the whole QK die.

Hope my garbled answer helps!

What one...what one?

Thanks, might leave it until I have sorted myself out with the converter thingies.

It was the boots and shoes one, admired for ages and now mine!!! Won't have the converter thingies in time for the sizzix swop but very happy to cut them once I have.
