Nice dressmaking patterns

I want to make something like this or this but longer and without the pointed bits and in linen.

I cannot find anything in the usual patterns - Butterick, Vogue, Simplicity etc and wondered if anyone knew of alternative patterns?

I am also looking for a long swing coat pattern as I have been given an entire bolt of beautiful moss green tweed. Something quite loose as I am an 18ish.

That's lovely - but very simple and with next to no fitting. Do you need a commercial pattern? Could you drape your own? If not, I'd have a look at vintage pattern stores online - google for smock or pinafore dress patterns - or if you can manage without written instructions, a lot of Japanese sewing books are of a similar style.

There is a very similar dress to your first link on the cover of this book - just has thicker straps and no pockets - but I don't know whether it's included in the book or if it's representative of what you can learn to do iykwim

Thank you, PopcornMouse.

I found dream top and spent ages trying to find a pattern but could not find one.

There is an old linen top which has a basic shape so I might faff about with it until I get the correct shape then dye it. Thanks for the link to that site. I ordered the book from amazon but will have a look at Japanese patterns.
