Hi this is probably in the wrong place but...
Does anybody have a recommendation for a good sewing machine for under £100. I am very fed up of wonder web!
TIA

Hi, I dont know if there is a good one, new, for under £100.

If you're not really into sewing and its just to do basic stuff I would suggest buying pre used from a local machine shop. Probably a machine without all the fancy stitches or inbuilt computer so less to confuse or go wrong. An electric Singer with zig zag should do you and if you get the sewing bug, accessories are plentiful.

The most basic john Lewis is about £100. They are made by janome which a very good make

There's a Hyundai one currently half price in Poundstretcher for £49.99. No idea if it's any good, and would be interested myself to hear if anyone has used it or has other recommendations. Lidl have got a £59.99 one on their website too. I know you get what you pay for but unfortunately I am a cheapskate. Grin

I've heard those Lidl machines are brilliant.

Ooh, slapme you are named after one of my favourite songs.

Grin. You have impeccable taste, LadyWellian. (I have recently name-changed. I used to be something on a similar theme.)
