Beading.

I've just bought my youngest daughter a beading set from Argos and I admit that I enjoyed it more than my daughter! I've also found a brilliant little Pound Shop that sells beautiful tiny beads and I've just equipped myself with a load more. I don't know anything about beading, but I know I'd like to try it.

Can anyone share any tips?

You tube has lots of videos on beading. There are also lots of forums to discuss beading. uk-beaders.co.uk is one example. I started off beading but now am doing more wirework type stuff.

One tip - if you want your children to make jewellery for you that you actually want to wear then let them use your beads to do it.
