i like making a5/c5 cards...as so 'easy' to fold a4 cards.... however...have seen those thingumies on tv where you can position the a4 card and score it to make trifold...a6 etc etc cards`...also some for box making.

is there one that any of you use????

Ive got this

I use it everyday!
BUT TBH you could make one really easily.
DH has made one for a friend because when it arrived all it is, is a piece of MDF with grooves routed out in the right places....really easy to do.
I could send you the dimensions etc and your Dh would be able to knock one up for you.

I have the same one as JM. I use mine all the time for making basic A5 cards. I have made other size cards with it, not yet tried any boxes..still on my "to do list."

You can get different types quite a bit cheaper, but I really don't know what they are like. I certainly don't regret paying out for this one. The time and money it has saved me has been worth every penny!

MrsF, please excuse me hijacking, but I'm just wondering where people find the best card for use on an Accucrease or similar is from? And what weight is it?

Thank you - hijack over

Hi Hunker, I use all sorts of different card with my accucrease. Basically I get whatever I fancy at the Paper Mill Shop.

As weight goes, I haven't tried really heavy card-like mountboard, but apart from that I would say anything goes. I tend to use mainly hammered card and that folds great, gives a really professional finish.

MrsF! Disgusting!

hubby has a router, but I wouldn't trust him with it!

think i might just buy a 'proper' scorer...then get my friend's hubby to make a replica.... and if it works.....i can sell them on ebay!!! wooo hoo!!!!

I bought a scorer at the paper mill shop for £9. I think the bone folder was @£2. It does most sizes/trifold thingies. They don't always have them in stock.

Thanks, Dingle.

Pootle,I got my accucrease at the paper milll shop. It has a Dies to Die for label stuck on the bottom! Is it the same one?

pootlepod · 28/11/2005 18:50

Mine doesn't seem to have any label Dingle. I suspect it is the same one. Just looked at the sheet that came with it, it says Williams on it???
