Bondaweb (or any other iron on adhesives)

Hello!

I've got an appliqué I'm making up, with up to three layers in some spots. I am using Bondaweb/double-sided iron on adhesive to stop fraying and hopefully to adhere all the layers. If I iron more than one layer on to another, will this cause a previous layer to come unstuck?

Hope this makes sense. Thank you

scathac, really? i'm sure i've done it successfully in the past.

runswithscissors only way to find out is to try a small bit first

It will loosen the previous layer (it's how I've removed bondaweb in the past) but, if you do not disturb the loosened layers at all and leave the item to cool, preferably under a weight, it may reattach. Again, I have done this.

You have try it out and see how your particular combination of fabrics works.

What about using spray appliqué glue? 505 make it.

Sorry to have abandoned the thread! Gave it a go and worked wonderfully. No problem with other layers unsticking. Thanks for all replies.
