Any book recommendations or websites that would be good for a beginner? I'd love to make some of my own baby clothes.

Thanks

babypatterns.atspace.com/overview.html

www.sewingfreebies.com/

www.freeneedle.com/directory.php?directory=Children-Clothes

That's all from a five minute google and a little discernment of sites I've found useful Smile

You need to know what you're looking for! I find about.com really hard to use, but it comes highly recommended. I think it's because I'm pretty skint so don't want to be tempted but stuff I have to pay for Grin

www.burdastyle.com/patterns is also very good, free sign up!

Do you want to knit or sew? If you want to knit, have a look at Ravelry (ravelry.com)
Not very clued up on sewing as it is so very fidgety to sew for babies and so time consuming compared to the time they spend in them.

Lots of good ideas here

The Debbie Bliss books have some lovely knitting patterns for babies - but make the larger sizes! If you make a newborn/ 0-3 month size they will wear it precisely twice!

I always use www.sewingworld.com and they have a nice selection of the major pattern brands. Their service is very quick too.

I love the book Sewing Clothes Kids Love by Nancy J.S Langdon and Sabine Pollehn, All the patterns are really simple and should be able to be downsized quite easily.
