Does anyone know where I could get knitting patterns for a baby born size doll and also barbie?

I would just modify regular patterns, I guess? Well, not for barbie ...

Baby doll knitting patterns are quite easy to come by, and there are probably quite a few free ones you could get with a bit of googling. There's a relatively new Barbie book out by Nicky Epstein, here . Bit expensive though!

Do dolls knit these days ?

I've seen ads for dolls that cry, wee & burp - but knitting !

(sorry )

I know - baby born can do everything according to my dd.

I was up at John Lewis' today and managed to find lots of pattern books. My dd has chosen sparkly pale pink and cerise pink wool for a contrasting milkmaid dress and hat - nothing like a bit of feminsism and positive role models!
I haven't knitted for 15 years I'm now trying to remember what purl means again???

I'm not sure if you're joking or now ! Purl is like the backwards stitch - when you go in behind the stitch. HTH
