New crafty mags coming out all over the place!

Have you seen the 2 new crafty mags? There's Mollie Makes which came out today and is a hefty £4.99 (although theres a subscription offer of 3 issues for a fiver) and then there's KALMmedia (home of Yarn Forward as was) with Handmade Living at £3.50. Way hay!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of coffee and biscuit time ahead for me! Which one is better do you think? I'm leaning towards MM although I like KAL Media's other stuff so want to like this too. Dunno.....

I think you need to buy both and have a good study of each.

Mollie Makes is on subscription for first 3 issues for £5, although I subscribed and haven't had it yet, grrrr.

Yes, I think they've had a problem because I thought I had subscribed but the direct debit never processed. Subscribers were sent their issue a few days ago. Maybe you shld call them.....

Has anyone tried Oh Comely? I know it's not as new as the others, but I'm wondering if it's worth forking out for.

Also wondering if Mollie Makes is as twee as it sounds, or cool handmade goodness...

i always find these mag. a complete disappointment. what do they provide that you can't get from a couple of nice blogs?

i think its best to not take them seriously AT ALL and imagine I live in a world where apple cozies are de rigeur. I liked the linen eggs although I know if I make them they'll look like used teabags

I got Mollie Makes yesterday (and Jane Brocket's new book!!) and it was a happy hour with a cup of tea! Will be settling down to read the Gentle Art of Knitting this afternoon:)

Bought Mollie Makes & Handmade Living & am quite enjoying both. MM is a bit "super-cute" but quite fun with it.

Love the fact they both have loads of suggestions of good blogs - I may never get any proper word done again

I cant find Oh comely at the moment either - think there's a new edition due out soon.

Well they said I will get my subscription from issue 2 out 9/6 so I am assuming there is one out now. Don't know why I didn't get it from the beginning. I signed up yonks ago, forgot all about it actually till they emailed.

Stepaway did you enjoy the gentle art of knitting? I was quite tempted to order it, but haven't seen a copy in real life.

I think it's pretty lame that Mollie Makes failed so spectacularly on the subs front - I've heard a lot of twitter chatter about copies failing to arrive.
