Has anyone used self-adhesive wallpaper to cover a bit of furniture?

Our changing table is in fact a computer table. One of those real cheap chipboardy ones. With a mat stuck on top.

Anyhow, always meant to paint it but now seems like a PITA so wondering about being really lazy and covering it with something like this

Has anyone done this? Did it work out okay? I was possibly thinking of just painting any really awkward bit matte white but covering all of the rest, including the pull out tray etc.

I've used that 'fablon' before. It was a last resort but I was actually pretty impressed with the result.

Oh good!

It says it doesn't stick to itself, but does it really mean it? if two sticky bits touch it won't all got ruined will it?
