Sorry I know this is daft.

Am doing the back of a baby cardigan. I need to 'continue until the armhole measures 11cm'

Is this 11cm measuring straight up from bottom of armhole to the needles/top of the work,

OR

11cm measuring along the curve of the armhole shaping

Thanks v much!

I hope I'm right here, but I would say that it's 11cm straight up from bottom to top of the armhole - not measuring along the curve. That's the way I've always done it anyway. Good luck.

Yes, just take a measure from where you cast off for the arm shaping. Keep the ruler/tape measure straight from the exact line you cast off, and measure up from there.

Thanks - thats what I suspected but then I came over all undecidedGrin

Probably just overthinking it - I'm using a bamboo yarn and its very pretty but very slippery.

Good luck with it, Minnie!
