DS is three, he thinks I make the best birthday cakes ever and can do anything

However his birthday has clashed with his nursery play so I am taking his birthday cake to nursery for him to do candles/happy birthday song with all his friends and their parents and siblings

I have ordered the cake as I dont have a tin anywhere near that big. I just need to pimp it up a bit.....this would be perfect but I need it on Friday...could i make it?

Or a good shop to buy this things in London?

I cant just use a plastic toy though

I think you can get sheets of icing, just paint with food colouring and cut the dragon out. It'll be flat though but will look great. Stick it down with apricot jam.

That could work,
see I get carried away googling and want to make stuff like this and then if I start it all ends in tears

Make life easy for yourself!! Use a template and cut it out. Won't take very long at all. You could make the bottom one by using mini eggs and mini rolls, covered with flat icing though if you wanted.

Are you in London?

I do cake decoration and am mad on dragons (studied sculpture and they are my 'thing'), if you PM me I may be able to help... (couldn't see the first link as I'm at work and ebay is blocked, but I can easily do you the second linked version.

If you go on FB and search for 'cakes by cathy uk' you can have a look at the sort of thing I do (and proves I'm not some random person!) :)
