Singer Sewing Machine...... Lidl

Hi all,

did anyone buy the Singer Serenade in Lidl last year?

My dad bought it for my birthday, and I am ashamed to admit that I have only really started working it out in the last few days!

One question though - what bobbins fit it properly? It came with 4, but I would ideally like some more, but the ones in my local haberdashery dont fit, as I found out today!

If anyone has this model, and can help, it would be fab!

Probably best to contact Singer for a list of stockists. Also, John Lewis have a large haberdashery dept and sell sewing machines, so they may be able to help.

I have a Singer sewing machine which must be nearly 40 years old - I bought it second hand 30 years ago as a student - it is still going strong!

Mine is older than yours, Nah Nah!! [Grin]
I am the proud possessor of my grandmother's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine, probably made around 1910 I think.
I love it but it does need an overhaul at the moment.

Take the one you have got with you to the store and ask for an assistance. I think they will help you. Look into the booklet, there must be something mentioned about bobbins.
