Where can I buy a variety of coloured fleece? I don't want metres of the stuff...

I have borrowed a book from the library called 'fleecie dolls', and although I wouldn't have considered fleece, they do look pretty cute & would be soft.

I've searched online ut can only find dull colours in large amounts.

Any tips, please? Smile

e-bay might be the way to go here

Also try googling fleece fabric offcuts.

My local market has a fabric stall where you can buy small amounts. They definitely have some fairly lurid fleece. Have a snoop around a market.

fabricland always have loads if there is one near you?

specialsmasher · 15/02/2011 16:16

THanks both - have tried ebay, KK, but would ideally like the equivalent of fat quarters in loads of colours... - checking link now! Market a good tip, thanks, SB.

I think there might be other bundles on e-bay as well SS - worth a browse maybe Smile

dizzyday07 · 15/02/2011 18:28

i have lots of fabric here at home - plus offcuts / remnants etc - so could always sort you a bundle out!

specialsmasher · 15/02/2011 19:05

Really, dizzyday? With fleece? I'd def be interested if you reckon it'd be suitable for doll-making... Smile

Is this the book?

I'll definately have bits suitable for the clothes/accessories etc.

For the "body" fabric, the cheapest option for you will to buy a pale coloured fleece blanket.

KurriKurri · 15/02/2011 22:08

Oh I like the look of that book Smile

specialsmasher · 16/02/2011 07:01

That's the one, dizzy! Good idea about the blanket too - let me know about scraps & things, if you're sure - I'll obviously be happy to pay & to cover P & P... Smile

I'll get a pile together today for you and post a pic later

specialsmasher · 16/02/2011 09:36

That's so kind! Thank you. I'm off out today & will look for a blanket.

Just in case you haven't got anything yet. You could try www.dotsnstripes.co.uk. They seem to have quite a colourful supply of fleece.

specialsmasher · 21/02/2011 21:27

Oh thanks! Have given up on above offer. Will investigate.

Specialsmasher - I'm so, so sorry. I got tangled up things happening at school and then with half term and you went straight out of my head. Blush

If you still need some fleece I PROMISE I'll get you a bundle together x

specialsmasher · 07/03/2011 16:53

Hello Dizzy!

Don't worry about it! I'm a week overdue at the moment so my priorities are not with fleece at the moment - we all forget things!
