I made dp's last night. It's fairly simple but looks nice. He's away with his dd and back this afternoon so hasn't seen it yet. Funny thing is I opened the one he got me and once again we've chosen a similar theme?? When we first got together the cards were almost identical (bought from different shops) This year his is bought and of course mine is made, but I stuck on a heart jewel on top of a silver heart card and on his card is same sized heart jewel, plus some tiny ones Smile

I didn't buy him a present but painted him a beach scene in acrylics which he can take to work if he likes? He works nignts so it may cheer up the office Grin

I made my husband a valentine's card - first time I've made a card since I was a kid Grin (can you tell I'm on the unpaid bit of maternity leave?). He loved it and I was glad to have put some effort in. Though I also loved the cards he bought for himself and for DS to me...

...didn't get him a present though and he didn't get me one (though did get some flowers). Christmas and his birthday in January were both quite expensive so we decided we didn't want to "do" Valentine's gifts this year.

Glad it wasn't just me then Grin Dp's dd couldn't believe I'd made it she was well impressed Wink It's so satisfying knowing you've saved a few pounds isn't it?
