Nightmare before xmas is a kids film, but in many goth shops they are on clothing, bags etc, I'll look for you. hang on...

i reckon black and red hearts is the way to go!

Aahh, I have fond memories of my goth days - all that black lace and leather, pointy boots, bat wing sleeves, dark make-up and crimped back-combed hair!!! Used to take ages to get ready to go out but alas that was in my dim distant youth of the 1980's!!

If I was designing a card I would be tempted by black and lace. I did buy a book a while back, the front cover of which I think might make a good template idea for the basis of a wedding card - it will certainly give you help with the sort of style and fonts you should be looking for. Sadly I have no idea how to do links (see, must be my age and too much hair crimping all those years ago!), but if you do a search for "The Goth Bible" on Amazon it should bring it up for you (you're looking for Nancy Kilpatrick as the author).

Hope this helps. Good luck with the card. I would be interested in seeing what you have done when you are finished.

sorry I read it as wedding cake, doh!!!

Black and silver also work well. Red only really works if it is a deep red. Gothic typefaces are also useful.

I got some great paper from publishers works. It's kind off deep red hammeed with a slight metallic glaz, looks a bit antique. I could send you some if you like, I have loads.

Cat me if you want it.

gscrym · 26/10/2005 11:31

I meant hammered and glaze, my fingers are rubbish this morning.

kiwibelle · 26/10/2005 11:53

The card I made in last night's challenge was black with red hearts. The idea was copied straight from
hobbycraft .

undercovermum · 26/10/2005 22:47

I used some charcoal eyeshadow on a red sizzix heart and it made it very 'depth, graveyardy type of thing'. It looked like a very good heart for goth bits. I can send you some if you like.
