what can i make for my own party bags?

can anyone think of any diy party bag ideas for 5 year olds, mainly girls? I have about a month to do them.

Get a load of hair clips from a pound shop...you know the ones you can get which are basic metal coloured snap shut ones? You can get big packs for about a pound if you keep your eyes open. ANd then do them up with felt shapes or ribbon bows...super glue is good enough....attach two on a piece of card for eac girl....you can do the same with bobbles.

Make the party bags out of pretty printed cotton...use pinking shears to cut them out...very basic little sacks...then put ribbon drawstring on the bag as a closure. This is a gift in itself...you could mae brooches for them with felt, buttons and ribbons.

I have made personalised bead bracelets before, plastic beads on elastic with their names spelt out in letter beads.
Also bead key rings.

Plaited "friendship bracelets" go down well with girls & boys, & only need a bit of embroidery yarn & a few beads each, & are quick & very cheap to do, & can be personalised with letter beads & favourite colours......& the kids love them as

Choose colour to suit child, we like the multi colour yard as gives a good effect....double up the yarn,......

knot 3 x strands of double yarn about 4 ins longer than needed....

neatly & tightly Plait as you would hair

every inch or so add a wide holed bead onto 1 of the double strands.....letter beads are good, or girls like the sparkly ones & stick to bone, wood etc for boys (think surf dude :))

knot at end so it is a long strand to tie around a wrist

DDs friends LOVED these :)
