I got a sewing machine for Christmas and am after some inspiration and want to have a look at what everyone else has been making.

If you have any sewing or crafty blogs that you love please share them with me.

I would like some recommendations too please :-)

I bought a single duvet set in a sale before christmas, made the duvet cover into an apron for SIL and one to match for her daughter from the pillow case. I am new to sewing and was very very pleased with the result. Perhaps you could do something similar? Material is expensive....

I don't know if you have seen this thread. There are a few ideas on there. Some are knitting blogs but they are intersting too.

I've got loads of blogs bookmarked so will trawl through later for the best ones.

Sew Mama Sew is my favourite, often has links to other crafty blogs as well.

It's not a blog, but craftster is full of inspiration. It's a forum where people post things they've made. Be warned you could be lost for days though, there is SOO much there!

I'm glad I've seen this thread DD1 also got a sewing machine for Christmas and is on the look out for sewing blogs.

She has made umpteen soft toys so far and a purse.

do some searches on flickr and have a look at some of the groups the pics belong to. a lot of those people have blogs that they link to as well.

i have found this by far the best source of inspiration.
