I am making a suit/dress carrier for her dance dresses

I bought some lovely material with 20/30's dancers on but it's oos

So what else can I use?

Background color of your material, try and match it with a plain color! You can have fun creating paterns out of both materials..

I don't have any material - it's out of stock Sad

wifeofdoom · 09/12/2010 15:28

Ahhh! I see! thanks for clearing that up.
Can you put in a search for the fabric to see if anyone else is selling it?

MumsieNonna · 09/12/2010 15:53

Have you looked on eBay? Is this any good (only one metre available though) but you could mix with a plain or spotty fabric.

ballroom dancer remnant

KatyMac · 09/12/2010 16:09

That is exactly the one I ordered but it is too small, but maybe as you say I could use another fabric

Put the pattern on the front and pick out one of the colours in it and match that in a fabric for the back.

KatyMac · 09/12/2010 16:13

I mean the same fabric not the same seller Blush

But it is the front that takes the extra fabric - because of the 2 sides

The back takes much less

What about making the top section with the pattern and bottom section the with plain (fabric size allowing of course)? you get the pattern on both sides, just not full length.

KatyMac · 09/12/2010 18:07

Not sure - I think I'd rather get a whole piece even if it's a different pattern

The fabric rehab seems lovely but I wanted something 'dancing' ish

There is 3 metres of this but not sure if it's too old for your DD

KatyMac · 10/12/2010 07:47

I really like that but DD doesn't [silly child]

dizzyday07 · 10/12/2010 10:11

KatyMac · 10/12/2010 22:56

Oh I like that one - I'll see if DD does tomorrow

Thanks

KatyMac · 13/12/2010 20:50

Nope - she liked dizzyday's but it was a bit expensive
