Help! DS's baby blanket has been destroyed by moths - what can I do with the remaining wool?

Hello

I've just posted in the housekeeping section for advice on dealing with an apparent infestion of moths, which I've just discovered this evening.

The little sh1ts have pretty much ignored everything but DS's wool baby blanket - it has several large holes in it and until its been treated, cleaned and unravelled I don't know how much wool remains. I'm guessing the equivalent of 3 balls of 50g 4 ply.

I knitted it for him before he was born and have just been torturing myself looking at pics of him in it as a newborn - he was wrapped in it when we first brought him home, sob!!

Any great ideas for what I could do with the remaining wool, if I can save it? I was thinking a small soft toy, but would love some more creative ideas.

Could also add in some new wool, with different colours of course to make something (it has just occurred to me).

Thank you for reading.

you could just chuck it in t' bin....

then, when your baby is all growd up & has their own nipper you can make another lovely blankie!!!

or you could make a really big reindeer jumper out of it & save it for his 18th bday!

Wink

(not meant nasty)
