dont!! my card is maxed out because of all the bargains posted here and the naughty crafters who point me to them, (not mentioning any names whizzz)

anyone into scrapbooking?
am thinking of buying sizzix, dont know whether to go for big one or the sidekick, have tried to large machine and thought it was brill.

MrsForgetMeNotFul · 22/09/2005 09:18

i ofund that the other day...and cannot wait for it all to come!!!
I have got a load of pre-made xmas toppers (for the boys to use) so cheap- and a card kit...costing not alot more what i'd pay for the card blanks alone.

Gracesmum -- yep am a scrapper I love my sizzix. It depends what you are going to use in the machine as to which one you go for. If you want to use the big "original" dies then go for the sizzix as you can use all the dies in it.
If you're only going to use the sizzlits and other brand thin dies then go for sidekick.

Also if you are thinking of going to crops and/or workshops then the sidekick is lighter.

Another thing to remember, is that the sizzix can cut more materials than the sidekick. The sidekick will also take more time to use as you have to sandwitch the parts together each time crank it thru.

MrsForgetMeNotFul -- LOL you really are addicted now

Whizzz · 22/09/2005 18:14

Noooooooo - I ended up buying two lots of sale stuff last time !

By the way, I bought some pastel coloured tall thin cards & envelopes when I went & I'm not too impressed these . They are pretty but seem very thin . They will get used but they are not as nice as other blanks I have.

champs · 22/09/2005 23:38

hi Whizzz!! would they work better if you cut them in half and use as notlets?

Dingle · 23/09/2005 10:10

Yes, I would do the same. If you aren't happy with the quality, cut them into layering pices and use them as the basis of your toppers.

MrsForgetMeNotFul · 23/09/2005 11:29

waste not want not!!!

Amazing how 'every scrap' has a use!!!

Very hard to throw 'anything' away...as it 'could be used'!!!

Shame about those cards not being very thick.... hopefully you can use them as the others have suggested!
