Ribbons

I want to have a go at making some ribbon fabric to make bags with. I've looked in our local hobbycraft, but I'm wondering if there's a good way to buy good quality ribbons in bulk that won't cost me the earth!? In hobbycraft they seem to range from 39-55p per metre. But if it works out, I'd like to make a lot to sell in my etsy shop, so would kind of like to buy whole reels eventually.

Any thoughts or experiences?

I've seen these people at shows. They seem quite reasonable to me.

Alternatively, if you are going to be using a lot you could get some wholesale. Groves and Bank do a lot of ribbons. You have to register and there is a minimum order though. However I was just looking at what they had and just picking at random 32mm organdie works out at 25p a metre (5 packs of 5m - £5.30 plus VAT)

They do lots of other crafty things so maybe there is something else you can get wholesale.

If for some reason you can't register you could try googling wholesale ribbons and see what comes up. It would be the cheapest way.

I forgot about these people. I was just looking on their site for something else and notice ribbons. They seem very reasonable.
