tote bag pattern?

Bought some fab fabric and recovered some large floor cushions, have rather a lot of material left, cotton - want to make a tote bag for when I go back to uni to put a folder in...

any good and simple patterns?

... well it would be good to be able to line it, but I dont know how, or have any other suitable material and I want to make it today (impatient emotion)

Not a gusset one but this website has some simple instructions.

Just made that, took an hour! Got very confused about the stitching the right way round then inside out at the end... looks good though :)

I made this the other day. It's quite straightforward and you can always adjust the measurements to make it a bit bigger.

Great, I've been meaning to make one for ages but don't have any decent fabric and just haven't got round to it.

I made another one last night, much bigger, for my ring binders - 25'' bt 18'' with a 30'' straps.

4'' gusset all the way round with French seems etc so no raw edges at all on it, im impressed with it :)

What sort of fabric are you using?

cotton

I used cotton and ironed on some interfacing to give it a bit more structure.
