I hope that no-one minds me posting this here. I remember seeing another post in this topic referring to this baby, so hope people dont think it is misplaced, if you do think its wrong then I will ask to have it removed.

I have been following the blog of Baby Faith Hope, and it has certainly made me think differently about things. I had no idea that a baby with anencephaly could survive for any length of time.

Sadly Faith passed away yesterday.

The blog is here:

What an incredible woman and like you, her baby's survival for so long astounds me. Her blog has really moved me - thank you for posting this.

have been following this amazing babys story for a while now, and everyday i clicked with worry that she had passed away. when i clicked today, i cried. but Faith passed away in her Moms arms yesterday. Her mom is amazing and i keep meaning to email her. i will know, though it seems too late.

no words

I've been following her blog too. It really reminded me a blog about a boy with trisomy 13 who lived for a few months. His parents did the same as Faith's Mum and somehow managed to celebrate every day of his life.

Amazing, amazing people.

RIP Faith.

I have been following Faith's story, and hadn't clicked on it in the past few days. I was shocked to read this thread, and shed a tear reading her mothers blog.

Poor little one . Her mother sounds a lovely woman.

RIP baby Faith.

RIP Faith, very sad news.

Misdee - I read this lady's blog after you posted about it some months back, thanks for making me aware of it.

lou031205 · 25/05/2009 22:37

An example to us all What a beautiful girl.

5inthebed · 25/05/2009 22:40

I think it was from Misdee's post that I started following it as well.

Shitemum · 25/05/2009 22:45

I read the blog after misdee linked to it a while back too.

It's good to know this little girl had so much love in her short life.

treedelivery · 26/05/2009 21:32

RIP Faith.

Comfort and hope to her mummy.

weepootle · 26/05/2009 22:09

Thank you for sharing that, I hadn't heard about Faith Hope before. I've now read the blog and watched the videos and am having a good old cry.

What an amazing little girl and wonderful mum.

I had a ds with anencephaly who lived for a magical 40 minutes. It makes me so sad to think that most people miss out on their short lives as the medical profession really push you to have a termination upon diagnosis.

Hopefully anyone else going through this will read the blog and decide that it is worth carrying on with the pregnancy.

MerlinsBeard · 26/05/2009 22:13

oh gosh how desperatly sad

Had read this before (found link elsewhere) and was only wondering how they were doing yesterday.

What a very very strong woman
