Combined screening results

I’m looking for advice and any positive experiences please.

Yesterday I got my results for the combined screening & I’ve had to have the NIPT testing done.

My results were :

HCG 1.99 MoM
PAPP A 0.13 MoM
NT 1.08 MoM

The nurse said it is because of the hcg & PAPP A results that I have been given a 1 in 10 chance of my baby having Down’s syndrome.

I am 27 years old so I wasn’t expecting this phone call at all.

I am beside myself with worry so much so that I haven’t been able to go to work. Has anyone had similar results or positive outcomes?

🙏🙏🙏

Hey OP, sorry you’re having this anxious time. It’s important to remember that the combined test is a screening test and is not a diagnostic test. Many things can cause your hormone levels to be a little higher. Your NT is well within normal range so I would take comfort from that.

I live abroad and here they do the NIPT as the 1st test as they feel it’s more accurate. Hopefully the results come quick and are negative!

Hi ,
I am in a similar boat. My combined screening showed a 1:85 chance of Down syndrome, and my doctor advised me to have an amniocentesis.
