Hi all, I'm 11 weeks pregnant and had tests the other day. My Beta HCG level has come back as 18.66 which I've read is very low. I'm really starting to panick. I've got a ultrasound booked on Monday so should find out more then but in the meantime I'm feeling sick with worry. Has anyone else had a similar experience which ended up positive? TIA

I’m sorry you are going through this OP but that is a very low reading for how many weeks you are. This is the reference that I was given on my results

hCG guidelines (intrauterine singleton pregnancy):
5-25 U/L: detectable hCG, requires monitoring
25-750 U/L: pregnancy < 5 weeks, requires monitoring
150-32,000 U/L: approximately 6 weeks of pregnancy
3,500-160,000 U/L: approximately 7 weeks of pregnancy
32,000-190,000 U/L: approximately 8-10 weeks of pregnancy

I had a MMC last year after my 1st scan where baby was measuring behind. I tried to convince myself that all would be ok which made it even harder when we found out baby stopped growing. I wish I had been a bit more realistic and prepared myself for what could be ahead. Have you been having symptoms for pregnancy? With the MMC I had symptoms but they never got stronger. While with DS my symptoms got steadily worse till about week 11.

I'm so sorry you're in this position. Would this be your first ultrasound?

Unfortunately there is no way a viable pregnancy would have hcg that low at 11 weeks, so I would be expecting the worst - I'm sorry, it's really shit.
