1 in 4 chance of DS - CVS tomorrow

I’ve had 24 hours of hell, got the call last night while abroad and had to rush home to Scotland. From Badger Notes I can only see PAPP-A and NT results which seem in normal range. Has anyone had a CVS at Queen Elizabeth in Glasgow? Details below: 38y/o BMI - 32 Baby no 3 (2 girls no DS, high bp in all pregnancies) NT 2.5mm PAPP-A 0.57 Any idea why risk so high? Scan pic below.

There are alot of women who have alot if unnecessary worry over these results. I hope it's the same for you.

So update… couldn’t get CVS due to position of placenta under baby.

had NIPT taken on Wed and provisionally booked in for amnio.

My NT measurement on Wed was 2.1, but found out my beta HCG was really high at 4.3MOM

Praying for a good and quick outcome from NIPT as can’t lose any more tears or sleep.

anyone else with similar bloods has good outcome?

How did you get on with your NIPT? I've been through something similar, but my baby had a NT of 8mm so it was pretty clear something was wrong. I had a NIPT and then was booked for a CVS but didn't go ahead with it in the end as the NIPT showed T18.

Hey, high risk NIPT. Came back on Monday. Need an amnio to confirm which is on Wed. Preparing for the absolute worst and praying for a miracle but if and when it’s confirmed we are going to TFMR. Xx

Hope today went ok? In a similar position as you, amnio was taken on Tuesday. Hoping all the best for you

Hey, the procedure was ok. I just closed my eyes and it was a bit of pressure. Now just light period like cramping, was fairly sore yesterday.
The charge midwife took us into a room after and said to prepare for worst as she has never seen a clear amnio after a positive NIPT for T21 so we are doing that.

Thanks and you. We had a high risk NIPT come back yesterday and that has just dashed all my hopes. Downs had never even factored on my mind, I thought that perhaps there was some other genetic condition and that id have to wait the 14 days for the full karotype to find out. Spent the day yesterday coming to terms with what very likely will be and decided we will tfmr if so
We can always try again, right?

I’m same as you, the waiting has been horrendous but it has given me time to come to terms and hopefully move forward to eventually try again. You never think it will be you xx

i ve only found out today about the High bHCG , same value as you 4.3 MoM.
Ive gone for the NIPTS today as I wasn’t sure about CVS at this stage.

sending you strength and hope, even if it’s to try again !
I guess we do these screenings and scans to find out early enough , but doesn’t make it less awful !
