First midwife appointment?

Im 5 weeks pregnant, and I've applied on mypregnancynotes.com which my hospital advertises as a way to get in contact with a midwife. I read that you should get an appointment before 8 weeks to do a general checkup. How long did it take everybody to get assigned a midwife and booked an appointment?

First appointment is usually about 9 weeks but quite a wide window. Varies massively between trusts.

At mine you self referred then got a letter one day with two appointments on in; booking appointment at about 9 weeks and first scan at about 12 weeks. Some places book your scan at the booking appointment.

First midwife appointment for me isn't until 12+5!

Booking appointment is usually between 8 and 10 weeks, and you can get them quite last minute.

I was the same. I only found out about the appointment because the midwife texted me a few days before, though it was later updated onto mypregnancynotes too. I had to change my initial because she texted me on a Friday evening telling me appointment would be on Monday morning, leaving me with no working hours to request the time off work. By the time of my rescheduled appointment I was 10+4.
