Suspected uti please help

Someone help I’m 29 weeks pregnant and 2 days and have a suspected uti also have really bad anxiety regarding my pregnancy I have been told that my sample needs too be sent off for testing can I go to the doctors and get antibiotics for precaution incase I do have one? while I wait for my results too come back as I don’t want my suspected uti too spread further and get worse or affect my baby please someone help

I went to the GP with a suspected UTI, the doctor did a urine dipstick test which suggested infection and then he prescribed antibiotics. Who has sent your urine off for analysis?

I ended up at the pregnancy assessment unit yesterday with what turned out to be a bad UTI.
I gave a urine sample which was very dark and cloudy and they did a dip test there which confirmed it straight away.
I was sent home with antibiotics.
