Hello,
Im due an early saying scan to facilitate testing for a genetic condition. My second child has the condition and as a result, there is a 1/4 chance that it will be passed to other future pregnancies.
Myself and husband feel we would not want to pursue the pregnancy if the condition were confirmed. I have started to prepare for going fo the scan and have realised that being shown a heartbeat, any times of reassurances by sonographer would likely change the emotions involved.
Can I ask to not see the screen/hear the heartbeat? Is that an option?
