Hi there i was hoping to get some advice and information from any other parent out there who may have been through the same situation as me. I recently went for my 20 week scan where i was told that my baby has fluid around its head stomach and chest known as ascites as well as having cystic kidneys. I wasnt given any further info other than this isnt normal and indicates that baby is struggling i have been referred to the fetal medicine team and have another scan coming up but i was hoping someone may be able to offer any further info about what this means, what are the possible outcomes what does this mean for the health of my baby? Any info to help this stressed mum will be much appreciated.

OP, I’m sorry you’re going through this. Did they say when you’ll be seen?

Can't offer you any advice but I didn't want to read and run. Sending you lots of love as I can imagine this must be a scary time for you. Flowers Try and think positive until
You've seen the fetal medicine team, they really are incredible
