Growth scan 30+5

Hiya

We went for a growth scan this week and baby is measuring around the 5th centile. He is weighing 3Ib 1oz. He's on the 50th centile for abdomen, similar for head but femur length is showing under 10th.

All else looked fine including placenta on scan and all obs fine.

Having to go for a placenta doppler scan next week and a growth scan the week after. My daughter had restricted growth 8 years ago but that was picked up at 38 weeks. Had her at 39 at 6Ib 3oz.

I'm terrified they'll bring baby out within the next three weeks. They've not really told me anything so going out my mind with worry. For reference, myself and his father aren't exactly tall.

Is a short femur really bad? Will they let me keep him in if all else is showing okay?

My first baby had similar measurements head and abdominal around 50th but femur always on the smaller side ( hers didn’t even reach 3rd percentile). I was induced at 37 weeks and she weighed 4lb8 so she was small but she was and is absolutely fine. There was a point in my pregnancy where I was told they were aiming for 34 weeks but she kept growing on her own line so they let me go until 37. Same as you mention myself and my husband aren’t tall.
Im actually in my second pregnancy now and again femurs are small but more around the 15th percentile.
