Hi everyone 🙋🏻‍♀️

I hope you're all doing well.

I am due to have my 20 week scan on 16/06/2023 and I am super nervous. I am a first time mum (been pregnant before but was ectopic, also pregnant at a young age which resulted in an abortion due to baby not developing as planned) I can't help but think my scan isn't going to go well, I've tried speaking to family who just tell me "it will be fine" or "stop stressing" I struggle with my anxiety at the best of times but this is something else! It is keeping me awake at night and I can't help but cry. My husband works away mon-fri (he's a lorry driver) so im just left with my own thoughts, he tries his best to reassure me but nothing seems to help 😩

Please can you give me some useful advice to deal with my worries and give me a bit more hope.

Thanks in advance x

You’re not alone. I had a major panic the morning of my 20 week scan.

you have to go in with an optimistic mind. If there is anything wrong the drs will support you and keep you informed.
The chances of there being something wrong are slim but it’s natural to worry.
