Hi

My results for downs has come back high
Nuchal is 2.6mm
Hcg 1.65
Papp a 0.31

I assume it's my low Papp a and high HCG ?

Any similar results from anyone and their NIPT test results
It's a horrible waiting game

Hi @Itonlytakesaminute what was the outcome x

Itonlytakesaminute · 02/07/2023 23:35

Low risk on nipt :) had to have it twice and was the worst wait ever!

Hi, my screening came back as I am in the high risk bracket I’m 39 so think it is to do with my age, I have had to take a NIPT test so waiting on results! From what I have read the first screening is not accurate so the NIPT is more accurate, feels like forever waiting

Itonlytakesaminute · 13/07/2023 20:08

I agree - the screening test doesn't actually test the babies dna , it's just your hormones, age, bmi etc and throws it all into a computer system.
Do you know what your papp a and HCG was? Was baby ok at ultrasound?

Fingers crossed for you

I had an NIPT on Monday - the waiting is next level hard. What’s helping to pass the time??

Itonlytakesaminute · 13/07/2023 22:24

I spent a lot of time googling and researching which isn't good for some people but was what I needed.
I managed to work and that helped.

Is yours via NHS as mine too 3 working days so hope yours is in soon

I dread to see my screen time this week as all I’ve done is research. It helps when I get the answers I want, but doesn’t when I don’t! It was an NHS test. I really hope it comes back soon.

Itonlytakesaminute · 13/07/2023 22:37

I hope it's back tomorrow for you
On Reddit their NIPT forum is good.

What were your screening results?

1 in 38 chance of Edwards and Patau’s. 0.2 PAPP-A and 0.25 HCG

Oh ok thanks not heard of that.

RubyMae1804 · 13/07/2023 23:09

I don’t know what my scores where I didn’t make a note of them tbh as I was in a state of shock :( may call the hospital tomorrow and ask. I know the neck measurement was fine and within Range, and my Scan showed fine no issues, but unsure on the other bits she never gave me a copy of them. My NIPT was NHS so she said it could take 7-10 days but more than likely be back within the 7 I’m praying it’s sooner.

RubyMae1804 · 13/07/2023 23:10

Same alls I’ve done in read and research Since yesterday:( I can’t stop! Fingers crossed it will all be ok

Itonlytakesaminute · 14/07/2023 09:10

I hope for both you the results come back soon, I had to wait a weekend it was horrible.

My trust was 3-5 working days for results (although i had to have nipt done twice!)

@RubyMae1804 I would ring and ask your Papp a and Hcg numbers that will give you an idea . Take comfort in the fact your scan was positive, they would have said if it's NT was high.

If i ever had another baby i would pay for private nipt at 10 weeks it's not worth the stress of the nhs one!

Got the results and they are low risk!

Itonlytakesaminute · 14/07/2023 13:53

@SJG1987 lovely news, so glad you got it before the weekend!

Yes I will call them on Monday and try And find out what they were but yes the neck results were all fine and within Range just the screening come back as high risk!
I would tell anyone now who’s over 35 to get the NIPT even if you have to pay private as it saves so much stress and worry. Fingers crossed i Get mine soon .
made up for everyone who got the low results they needed ;)

Hi,

Im hoping for some advice and that someone might have been through something similar. I am currently 13w pregnant and had booked a private scan due to still not having my NHS scan through and being told there was a backlog and taking 14w.
I had my private scan today and she thinks im measuring 13w and 5d and I have my NHS scan on Tuesday which will make me over 14w. I’m now panicking that the quadruple is less accurate and that I won’t get accurate results.
