Anterior placenta

Hey all!

Just wondering if anyone had anterior placenta and gender of their baby.
I've got anterior placenta and was hoping for a boy.
Midwife said that there's not enough research to believe the study that suggests gender.
So... just out of curiosity if you had/ have anterior placenta what was the gender?

I had an anterior placenta both times and mine are boys.

I've never heard that there was any connection though. My partners family is very male dominated so I suspect mine is all down to genetics :)

My first was a girl with anterior placenta. The sex is determined the moment the sperm reaches the egg whereas the placenta isn't formed until weeks later.

Thank you all for your replies! I'm loving how mixed the genders are, we didnt find out babies gender and wanted to keep it a surprise.
But when i found out about the anterioir placenta and googled it results said 75% girl.
I thought it had ruined the surprise for us but clearly not!

2/3 pregnancies were anterior and we had a boy and girl.

eldest was posterior and a boy.

Girl. How could the position of the placenta possible have anything to do with the sex?

Not saying it does, just googled anterior placenta to find out what it was and it came up 70% of babies with anterior placentas were girls.

So thought I'd see if other people had girls if they had anterior placentas.

Hi. Sorry for jumping in. But I see so many ladies with anterior placenta and I hoped I could get some more info to calm my nerves. I should be 30 weeks on Friday. I have an anterior placenta and I have not felt significant moves or any kind of pattern. I can feel her several times a day, sometimes just barely and not at certain intervals. My last scan was almost 2 weeks ago.

I am quite confused because I don't know what reduced movement would be in my case... I have another scan scheduled next Monday.

Could you please share how it was in your case if you had an anterior placenta? Did you feel big moves and constantly? When did you worry?
