Increased risk of Down’s at 1 in 114…so worried

I had a phone call today to say my screening results show an increased risk of 1 in 114 for Down’s syndrome. I went straight to the hospital and had the NIPT and have to wait up to 2 weeks for results 😢
I am so worried, I have already been mega anxious with this pregnancy as I had an MMC at 10 weeks last year and then took 9 months to fall pregnant again 😔
I know that means less than 1 % chance of downs but it still worries me as I supposedly only had a 1-2% chance of miscarriage last year after seeing the heartbeat and it still happened to me 😢
Also, can anyone give any thoughts as to why my risk might have been high… NT was 2.6mm which she said is ‘within the normal range’ and she said both my HCG and Papp-a looked fine (at 1.36 and 0.67) I am 36 so I know this increases the risk but she also said I wasn’t classed as ‘geriatric’.

@emhope
Sorry to hear you are going through this.
When I was pregnant with my youngest, my screening results came back as 1:104.
I was 40 when I was pregnant so wasn't surprised to be honest!
I opted to have an amniocentesis which thankfully came back as clear.
I know it's hard not to worry but the chances are everything will be okay!

@emhope I'm currently in a similar situation and was just wondering what the outcome for you was? I'm a nervous wreck waiting for my results

@undercoverhero74 sorry to hear you are in similar position. Was a really anxious time but thankfully results of my NIPT came back low risk. hopefully you have the same, wishing you all the best 😊

It’s also 1 in 113 that it’s not!

@emhope oh that's really reassuring. It's just a really anxious wait. I know the odds are certainly in my favour but you can't help but worry can you.
I hope the rest of your pregnancy is going well 😊

For anyone else that has stumbled across this thread as they are in a similar position..... my results came back low risk also. It was an Anxious week but I'm so relieved. X
