NIPT Results

I know there are many threads about this across the site but I wondered if anyone could let me know whether I can expect my NIPT results to come through on a Friday evening or over the weekend? Just wondered if anyone had any experience of receiving their results during this time. I’m sort of hoping I can just forget about it until Monday but I’m still a little on edge.

I had my NIPT on the evening of 23/3/23 and told the bloods wouldn’t be sent until the next day. I had them taken by Ultrasound Direct in case that helps.

My daughter was stillborn on her due date last year and so I’m incredibly anxious this pregnancy and this isn’t helping at all. X

Mine came back on the Friday night but the screening team only work mon to Friday 9-5 at my hospital so I didn’t get the results till Monday morning x

Hi lovely, my NIPT test was a Thursday morning (sent same day) and I got my results the following Tuesday. It was a horribly anxious time so I completely sympathise and send endless positive energy x

Thank you for getting back to me everyone. It is such an anxious time isn’t it?!

I was fine for the first five days but then couldn’t put my phone down or keep refreshing my emails after that.

For anyone coming to this thread in the future, I did receive my results on a Sunday at 10am. My results were taken on Thursday and sent on Friday. However I can see that the sample wasn’t “received” according to the report until the Monday. So from the day of test until I got my results it was 10 calendar days. Hope this is helpful xxx

I hope it all went well @rainbowmumm23 . I paid for a NIPT through my hospital last friday and my results came back today so 6 calendar days. x

Just wanted to say thanks for this update!

I'm on day 8 of waiting now and feel like I can't concentrate on anything. I'll hopefully have the results in the next few days 🤞🏼
