Hi all

I'm a wreck and don't know how to manage my emotions! Had a call on Tuesday to say I'm 1 in 53 risk for DS , I'm 32 and had quad bloods as baby wouldn't keep still for the NT measurement. I am driving myself mad googling my levels and wondered if anyone had similar or know what they mean!

Afp 0.84pp MoM, Free E3 0.590 MoM, total HCG 1.330 MoM , inhibin 2.180 MoM

Google isn't clear and I'm going crazy and looking at past scans! Currently waiting for NIPT results

This was me a few weeks ago. It's a horrible horrible situation to be stuck in. I can't remember what my exact bloods were but I was definitely googling trying to find out what other peoples were etc. I was 1/64 but I'm a few years younger than you so I'm not sure if that also makes a difference. What helped a bit was my partner was like oh well that's a 1.5ish% chance so that actually doesn't seem high risk. I feel like the 1 in odds make it feel worse. I was a wreck for ages waiting on the results but I think googling didn't help me at all because realistically I'm not in anyway qualified to make sense of it all. I binged watched a lot of easy tv series (even when I was meant to be working from home oops). I also didn't really tell people about the results because other peoples views on it just stressed me out more.
I got my NIPT results back and they were low risk and I've had my 20 week scan and all seemed well.
It's an awful situation to be in but I would say don't try and make sense of the blood results because you'll just stress yourself out and find some easy distractions. Hope it all goes well for you

Aw I'm glad your results are all okay! Yeah the 1 in odds sounds awful don't they!

Yeah I'm constantly googling but it's not helping atall! I've been off work for 2 and half weeks due to some stuff, was starting to feel better to go back but I'm so up and down I don't know what to do for the best! The waiting is agonising xx

Hey I am in the same position (not with the quad test) but I too am waiting for results of the NIPT after having a 1:6 chance of Down's syndrome. In all honesty I am a complete wreck. I feel completely crushed and am struggling to function so not much help but you certainly are not alone.

Have you looked on the arc website - or even give them a call? they will talk you through exactly what all your results mean.

I hope it all turns out ok for you and your results come back quickly. The waiting is just horrendous.

I'm sorry you are also going through this, it's so tough having to wait :(

I have looked at their website but may give them a call on Monday, I've heard lots of good things about them.

I hope yours turn out okay aswell, it's a really hard wait 💓 xx

How are you doing @JessieDaise?

I'm still waiting for my results. Feels like it's been years!

JessieDaise · 14/09/2022 08:31

Still waiting 😫 taking each day as it comes but I'm on here and Google every night and don't sleep until like 2am, so exhausted 😴 how are you? How long have you been waiting?
