Free fluid extending to pouch of Douglas?

I’m 5.5 weeks pregnant. Had a vaginal scan (heartbeat is even there which I was pleasantly surprised about I thought the heartbeat comes later on). Has anyone else had this on one of their scans? Free fluid round ovary that turned out to be nothing. It was there a week ago and still hasn’t gone. Google just says ectopic (my case would be heterotopic as I have a fetal pole in right place)

Dont google, I know but couldn’t help it. Cysts, cancer, infection, pid… would love experiences? They said it’s a waiting game to see if it disappears but tbh I don’t really want to wait for it to get severe if it’s something really bad developing.

Thank you in advance 😊

Heya. I’ve just been told I have fluid in pod too. Just wondering if you’ve had anymore info on what it means? I’m 5W2D

@ked89 hey I am currently 8 weeks now, I have had no further information what it could be, only that in my case they believe they have finally ruled out a heterotopic pregnancy. It seems to be the further along you go, you the more they can tell you. I have my first official scan on 1 sept so hopefully I will know more. Only thing I will say to you is, if you get any bleeding or stabbing pains on the side of fluid just go to the hospital and ask them to rule out any ectopics as I know some places say that it’s normal and can be a cyst that’s burst or where you have recently ovulated… I have seen a post on here that says they had a ectopic going on. Just don’t risk with your health. I wish you luck in your pregnancy
