Quad Test 1:8

Hi all,
I've just received my quad Test result back with a 1:8 chance of the baby having down syndrome. This has come as a huge shock as I'm only 26 and this is my first pregnancy. I've been reading about what can cause abnormal results. I'm feel really let down by my midwife as I missed my 12 week scan due to my notes getting lost and never being referred to the hospital, by the time I had my first scan I was 14 weeks + 3 days so could not have the initial screening. I honestly feel like the dates are wrong and I have tried to explain this to the midwife who doesn't seem to listen but I know abnormal quad tests can occur due to the baby being older / younger than what they think. I have had the NIPT test today so currently waiting 10 working days for the results. Currently feel like my world is crashing down around me and feeling completely lost! Any advice or if anyone has been through a similar situation it would be greatly appreciated! XXX
